On October 7, fifty of the best Italian kiters took part in the second edition of Barcolana FUN in Trieste, Italy with Bora (ENE wind) at 30 knots. The Cape Verdeans Airton Cozzolino, Matchu Lopes Almeida and Elvis Jose Almeida Nunes jumped off Molo Audace, in front of Piazza dell’Unità – the main town square in Trieste.

The event, open to 50 kiters and 50 windsurfers, launches the week of Barcolana, the most crowded regatta of the Mediterranean Sea, scheduled in Trieste on October 13. Photo: BARCOLANA/Studio Borlenghi
