Lightning’s Strike Charleston!

Sixty-six boats from as far North as Wisconsin, Massachusetts, and Ontario, Canada traveled for the third annual Wild Oyster Regatta on Nov. 9-10, hosted by Carolina Yacht Club in Charleston, SC. The wife/husband team of Jody and David Starck sailing with junior sailor Abbie Probst accumulated 21 points to take top honors in very shifty conditions. Their consistency throughout the weekend put them ahead of Ed Adams, Neil Fowler and Ben Ceasere in 2nd place with 32 points. The family team of Larry MacDonald, with his two daughters Joy and Julianne, finished 3rd with 41 points. Full results.
