2013-2014 California Dreaming Match Racing Series

The three event 2013-2014 California Dreaming Match Racing Series got underway in San Francisco, with eight teams competing in identical J/22s on Nov. 9-10. Despite delays each morning for the wind to fill in, typical for off-season on SF Bay, the RC managed to complete 11 flights for the eight teams. First place went to local favorite Russ Silvestri and his team of Mario Yovkov, Erica Mattson, and John Collins, who scored 5.5 points. All of the teams enjoyed beautiful afternoon sailing conditions and tight racing with mixed win-loss records all across the board.

The eight teams will continue on to the second stop in San Diego and then Long Beach.

St. Francis Yacht Club will host the initial stop in J/22s on November 9-10, 2013
San Diego Yacht Club will host the second stop in J/22s on January 11-12, 2014
Long Beach Yacht Club will host the third stop in Catalina 37s on March 1-2, 2014
