Norwegians win Snipe Bacardi Cup

Published on March 27th, 2014

Nassau, Bahamas (March 27, 2014) – The final day of The Bacardi Cup offered dream conditions typical for Montagu Bay. Warm, clear, clean water, 18 knots with gusts to 21, and lots screaming reaches.

With just one race to finalize the scores, it was local Fernando de Cardenas and Sarah Morley that took the gun, but the battle for the overall title was deeper into the race.

Finishing fourth in the race was Birger Jansen and Janette Jansen (NOR), just behind Bahamians Jimmie Lowe and Cameron Symonette (BAH), but good enough for the Norwegians to win on tie break.

The Bacardi Cup was the third stop on the four event Snipe Winter Circuit. The finale of the tour would start later in the day – Dudley Gamblin Memorial.
