VIDEO: Team Alvimedica coming to America

Here is some footage of Team Alvimedica as they trained off the coast of Lisbon, Portugal recently. The Volvo Ocean Race team, led by Americans Charlie Enright and Mark Towill, leaves on May 30 for a transatlantic training session and are expected to arrive in Newport, Rhode Island by June 9 or 10.

The 2014-15 Volvo Ocean Race starts October 4 and will take the fleet to 11 cities in 11 countries – Spain, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, China, New Zealand, Brazil, United States, Portugal, France, The Netherlands, and Sweden – and will require the teams to cover 38,739 nautical miles.
