The 2014 Alpari World Match Racing Tour kicked off in Langenargen on the shores of Lake Constance in Southern Germany. After the winter break the eight Tour Card Holders were raring to go, lead by 2013 World Champion Taylor Canfield.

Could Canfield continue where he left off last year or would Ian Williams return to Germany and take back to back wins. With new Tour Card Holder David Gilmour keen to impress and Americas Cup team Luna Rossa led by Francesco Bruni in the hunt along with championship medalists Bjorn Hansen and Phil Robertson it was sure to be a hard fought event.
