French make early statement at J/80 World Championship

Annapolis, MD (September 29, 2014) – It was not the ideal opening day for the J/80 World Championship, with postponements, drizzle, and light winds limiting the 32-boat fleet to just one race. In the mostly American crowd, it was Sophie Faguet’s French team sailing White Lightning for the win. Racing continues through Saturday, with up to 20 races scheduled. Event details.
