VIDEO: From Chinese gybe to winner’s circle

Lisa Hickman captured the above action as the Farr 43 Wild Rose, 2014 Rolex Sydney Hobart overall handicap winner, rode out a Chinese Gybe on their way to Hobart. Luckily there was no damage to the boat and the crew were all safe. Video published on Dec 29, 2014.

Background: One hundred seventeen teams entered the 628 nm Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. Starting on December 26, the fleet exits Sydney Harbor and heads down the south-east coast of mainland Australia, across Bass Strait, then down the east coast of Tasmania.
