Funding for Ocean Health Projects

Published on June 4th, 2015

Newport, RI (June 4, 2015) – 11th Hour Racing is seeking to provide funding for programs or projects that improve the health of our waters and address the dynamic challenges facing the sailing and marine communities. 11th Hour Racing is requesting proposals in two funding areas.

Marine Pollution – Proposals are being solicited for projects that address marine pollution in coastal New England. Grants will be made up to $10K.
Marine Technology and Innovation – 11th Hour Racing seeks to advance new technologies and practices that reduce the impact of the sailing and marine communities. Grants will be made up to $25K and must be implemented in the US.

Strong consideration will be given to organizations or individuals that leverage collaborations, can demonstrate outcomes in a one-year timeframe, and share success broadly.

Responses to both solicitations must be submitted by June 25, 2015 through 11th Hour Racing’s online form. Grant award is expected in August. For detailed information about eligibility, timeline, and the application, click here.
