Guinness World Record: Nearly Home

(July 2, 2015) – The attempt by Robert Suhay to break a Guinness World Record in a Laser continues to make progress on the third day of the campaign. Suhay started on June 30 from Beaufort, NC and seeks to sail 340 nm to Annapolis, MD, setting a new standard for the longest singlehanded distance sailed in a dinghy by a male. His position as of 20:15 EDT was along the eastern shore of Chesapeake Bay with 57.6 nm to the finish. Suhay holds the current record of 283.5 nm. Updates – Tracker
