Mackinac Island is Waiting

(July 12, 2015) – The 107th Chicago Mackinac Race got underway this weekend, with 307 entrants sailing the 289nn course from Chicago to Mackinac Island, Michigan. Thirty-eight boats in the Cruising Division started on July 10, with the rest of the teams starting on July 11. Don Condit’s Tarten 4000 Roxy leads the Cruising Division, having just been passed by day two starter Peter & Christopher Thornton’s Volvo 70 Il Mostro that’s reporting 4 knots of speed with 32 nm remaining as of 18:45 CDT. Terry & Patti McMahon’s Mumm 36 Timberwolf has retired.
