U.S. Junior Women’s Singlehanded Championship on Lake Ontario

Rochester, NY (July 15, 2015) – Thirty top young sailors under the age of 19 will compete this week at the 2015 U.S. Junior Women’s Singlehanded Championship for the Nancy Leiter Clagett Memorial Trophy on July 15-19.

Hosted by Rochester Yacht Club, this five-day US Sailing National Championship features two days of clinics on Wednesday and Thursday followed by three days of racing on Friday through Sunday. Sailors representing 14 different states have convened the championship to be sailed on Lake Ontario in Laser Radials.

The winning sailor will qualify for the 2016 U.S. Youth Sailing Championship, the premiere youth sailing regatta in the country.
