Youth titans to face off at Governor’s Cup

The 49th Annual Governor’s Cup International Junior Match Racing Championship will be held July 21-25, hosted by Balboa Yacht Club (BYC) in Corona del Mar, CA.

Six international teams from Australia, England, New Caledonia, and New Zealand will face six USA teams from California and Illinois, squaring off in the purpose built Governor’s Cup 21’s, designed by BYC Staff Commodore Alan Andrews of Andrews Yachts. Representing the home club is a team skippered by Christophe Killian who finished third in 2014.

The International teams were chosen by the event selection committee while the USA teams gained entrance through qualifying events or selection. The BYC team of Christophe Killian leads the top ranked team from 2014 when they finished third.
