VIDEO: Learn to Sail with Science

The Discovery Barn “Force and Motion at Sea” exhibit at Mystic Seaport is a buffet of hands-on learning opportunities. Children and adults are encouraged to learn by doing. From decoding signal flag messages to learning how sailboats sail with and against the wind, this exciting interactive learning space introduces the scientific concepts behind simple machines to demonstrate how vessels work and how sailors managed life at sea in the past and still do today!
