Time Ratified for North East Passage

(November 2, 2015) – The World Sailing Speed Record Council reports the establishment of a new benchmark time for the 3240 nm Murmansk to Bering Strait via the Northern Sea Route. Guo Chuan (CHI) and 3 crew sailed the 97-foot trimaran China Quindao on September 3-15, completing the passage in 12 days 3 hours 8 minutes and 15 seconds. This will now be the time to beat for future record attempts.
