Published on December 23rd, 2015

The Youth Sailing World Championships is set to be held in Langkawi, Malaysia on December 29-January 3. Malaysia’s National Sailing Centre will be awash with more than 430 sailors from 80 nations who have registered to sail across the nine fleet:

Boys One Person Dinghy – Laser Radial
Girls One Person Dinghy – Laser Radial
Boys Two Person Dinghy – I420
Girls Two Person Dinghy – I420
Boys Skiff – 29er
Girls Skiff – 29er
Boys Windsurfer – RS:X (8.5m sail and 60cm fin)
Girls Windsurfer – RS:X (8.5m sail and 60cm fin)
Open Multihull – SL16

Participation at the 2015 event is a record breaker with more sailors and countries than ever before. The previous record of 67 nations, set last year in Tavira, Portugal, has been easily surpassed with new and returning nations competing in the 45th edition of this youth international championship.
