(December 31, 2015) – The idyllic island of Bozcaada will play host for another fantastic kiteboarding event in 2016 as a round of the Kiteboarding World Championships.
The new venue in the northern part of the Aegean Sea has offered fantastic conditions at last years IKA European Formula Kite Championships and for the Turkish National Championships in Freestyle and Big Air. Constant strong winds blow side-onshore but the water remains flat thanks to offshore reefs.
The event is planned to be held in the middle of August, when the strongest winds usually blow over day and night.
Central transportation from Istanbul will be arranged by the local organizers. More information, Notice of Race and registration will be available with the complete 2016 Kiteboarding World Championships Schedule in January.
