When Architecture and Sailing Meet

City Major Piotr Jakubowski explains how Mikolajki’s new bridge pylon was inspired by the DN rig. Local sailors have won the DN Worlds three times – Tomasz Zakrzewski (2012, 2013) and Wladyslaw Stefanowicz (1990) – while Mikolajki Sailing Club’s wall of fame is adorned with photos of other World and European medalists such as Lukasz Zakrzewski and Robert Graczyk. The local fleet is also rich in youth DN and Ice Opti sailors.
