Star Winter Series in Miami

Published on November 20th, 2016

The 5th edition of the Star Winter Series got underway with 24 boats on the line for the Schoonmaker Cup, held November 19-20 in Miami, FL. While Saturday provided 8-11 knots from the northeast for two races, a dying northerly allowed only one race on Sunday. USA’s 2012 Olympic team of Mark Mendalblatt and Brian Faitih posted a 2-4-1 to win the event, finishing four points clear of Paul Cayard and Joshua Revkin in second with Jim Buckingham and Craig Moss four points further back in third.
