Why You Would Watch the America’s Cup

Published on January 11th, 2017

The 35th America’s Cup will be held this May and June, with significant changes to the event to attract a large viewership. As we prepare for this iconic event, we want to hear what it is you are looking forward to seeing.

Will it be the boats, the racing, crashes, or controversy?

Will it be the broadcast? Can camera angles, onboard dialogue, and commentary carry the show if the racing doesn’t?

Or will it be something else?

Is the America’s Cup the Super Bowl of Sailing – an event you’d watch regardless of who is competing? Or is it about who is competing (or inventive commercials)?

What is it you need for the event to attract and hold your attention? What would be your ideal narrative?
