French Make Splash in Bermuda

America’s Cup challenger Groupama Team France become the fifth of the six America’s Cup teams to launch their America’s Cup Class boat into Bermudian waters for the first time. The French team now have their base in Bermuda’s Dockyard up and running and plan to take their ACC boat for its first sail later this week. Emirates Team New Zealand continues to train in their home waters.


 
Background: The 35th American’s Cup has attracted six teams (5 challengers and 1 defender) that will compete in the new 15-meter AC Class, with a series of qualifiers beginning on May 26, 2017 that lead to the start of the America’s Cup Match on June 17, 2017. Complete schedule.
