McKees take over lead at Tasar Worlds

Gamagori, Japan (August 2, 2017) – The second day of the Tasar World Championship completed three races, with Jonathan and Libby McKee (USA) posting a 1-2-1 to move up to the overall lead of the 97-boat fleet.

Now with six races completed, there was more shuffling in the standings as day one leader, Heather Macfarlane and Chris Payne (AUS), slipped to fourth with finishes of 10-5-17. Moving up with the McKees is current Tasar World Champion, Chris Dance and Jeremy Elmslie (AUS), which are now 11 points off the lead in second, while former world champion, Robert and Nicole Douglass (AUS), are five points further back in third overall.

Racing for the 97 boats representing five countries (Australia, Great Britain, Japan, Netherlands, and USA) is scheduled from August 1 to 6.
