Stephan Baker wins Optimist US Nationals

Three hundred seven boats competed in the 2017 Optimist US National Championship, held July 31 to August 3 in Norfolk, VA. Dominating the 103-boat Gold Flight was Stephan Baker, posting all first places in the 7-race finals to take the title. The girls filled the remainder of the podium with Charlie Leigh in second and Girls National Champion Vanessa Lahrkamp in third.
