Published on September 20th, 2017

English Bay, Vancouver (September 20, 2017) – After a lack of wind cancelled racing yesterday at the 2017 Six Metre World Championships, solid winds allowed for two final races today for the 45 teams representing 11 nations. With six races completed, Phillippe Durr (SUI) held his lead to win the Open Division by two points over Andy Beadsworth (GBR), while HM Don Juan Carlos de Borbón (ESP) took the Classic Division title by eight points over Lars Guck (HKG).

Update: The event is not final. Tomorrow is a spare day which now will be utilized to complete the 8-race series.
