Looking for Female Sailing Crew

Published on February 8th, 2018

In case you need any ideas on how to formalize your crew list for this season, here’s a posting in the craigslist personals (under ‘strictly platonic’) for Santa Fe, New Mexico:

WANTED: SAILING CREW FOR A SMALL RACE BOAT
As the weather warms and the water starts calling it’s time to start sailing preparations. With this posting I am hoping to meet a willing female crew mate to help race my small sailboat this spring and summer.

This is a special kind of experience both mentally and spiritually and requires a special kind of person. Someone willing to live life to its fullest and participate in the experience. In this case, she should be somewhat fit and athletic to get around on the fast moving two person boat while zooming across the water. This process becomes fairly easy to do after some practice.

I sail mainly for the incredible joy of moving across the water under power of the wind. I race to become a better sailor, not as a serious competitor. For this type of fun there is no experience necessary as I am willing to train the right willing and able candidate. It is helpful if you love being on the water propelled by the wind. Eventually this could include traveling to big lakes and the ocean for regattas.

You should probably be 42+ years young and able to travel as needed to regattas in the summer for sail racing vacations. The Captain is an experienced sailor who enjoys traveling to the ocean and lakes to participate in regattas in Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and the Sea of Cortez. This type of sailing is lots of fun and fairly easy to learn.

If you have any questions and would like more information please respond. For an adventurous and fun loving type of woman this is a great opportunity to learn something new and super fun.
Thanks for taking the time to read this message. Life is too short to stay on the beach : )
