Live Coverage: Extreme Sailing Series, Muscat

The 2018 Extreme Sailing Series™ and 12th year in the history of the ultimate Stadium Racing championship is about to kick off again this week. Seven international teams (details here) will race from Wednesday March 14 in Muscat, Oman (local time zone is UTC +4). This will be the 8th time the Series visits the Sultanate of Oman.

Live video streaming will be available on Friday and Saturday, March 16 and 17, as well as graphics provided by SAP Sailing Analytics daily on March 14 through 17.

The 3 hour live streaming programme, produced by Red Handed TV, includes fixed onboard cameras delivering the action from the water, shore side cameras, interviews from the race course and graphics delivered by SAP Sailing Analytics. The expert commentary team includes pro sailing commentators Niall Myant (GBR) and double Olympic gold medallist and Extreme Sailing Series™ former champion, Sarah Ayton OBE (GBR).

Background: The Extreme Sailing Series is in its twelfth season, with this year’s eight event tour travelling through Middle East, Europe and the Americas. The platform used is the one design foiling GC32 catamaran, with the format highlighting ‘stadium’ short-course racing in front of the public.
