Price, Takahashi lead Governor’s Cup

Newport Beach, CA (July 17, 2018) – The 52nd Annual Governor’s Cup International Youth Match Racing Championship began today for the twelve teams representing five countries. Early leaders Harry Price (AUS) and Leonard Takahashi (NZL) are both on 7-1 during the first of two round robin series to determine the top four teams that advance to the semi-final and final knockout stages. Lurking at 5-3 are Christophe Killian (USA), Jack Parkin (USA), and Chris Weis (USA).

The Governor’s Cup is sailed in BYC’s Governor’s Cup 22 sloops for sailors no more than 22 years old. Racing is planned for on July 17-21.
