Germans dominate 505 Worlds

Germans Lutz Stengel and Holger Jess completely dominated the 127-boat 505 World Championship 2018 held July 22-27 in Gdynia, Poland. Stengel/ Jess won four of the first eight races, and by remaining in the top five for all other scores, were able to sit out the final two races of the 10-race, 2 discard championship. Defending champions Mike Holt and Rob Woelfel (USA) finished 13 points back in second with Jan-Philipp Hofmann and Felix Björn Brockerhoff (GER) finished 10 points further off the lead in third.
