The high-performance Formula 18 catamaran has evolved over 25 years to become one of the fastest growing fleets in the world. The catamaran attracts sailors who are beginners to some of the best in the world. Manufacturers include Nacra, ABCM, Cirrus, Falcon, Hobie Cat, and Australian High Performance. The class has very strict constraints on crew minimum weight, boat dimensions and sails, keeping the boats as equal as possible.
Hosted by Sarasota Sailing Squadron, the racing venue on Sarasota Bay is among the very best in the U.S. Waters are warm, breezes steady and conditions about perfect.
