Greeks increase lead at F18 Worlds

Published on October 18th, 2018

Sarasota, FL (October 18, 2018) – With four races held on the penultimate day of the F18 World Championship, the Greek team of Iordanis Paschalidis and Konstantinos Trigonis have increased their lead now to 15 points, with Hans and Marius Van Dam (NED) moving up to second place with Michael Easton and Tripp Burd (USA) remaining in third.

Racing began with a lighter breeze, which slowly picked up into the afternoon, bringing a much-anticipated wind from the Gulf and shaking up the leaderboard. This is the first day that teams have experienced heavy breeze on the course.

A maximum of four races can be held tomorrow but no warning signal can be made after 1500 (except as a consequence of a General Recall). Racing has been planned from October 15 to 19.
