Closure for Annapolis-to-Newport Race

Newport, RI (June 11, 2019) – Nearly all of the 52 entrants have finished the 475-nautical mile Annapolis-to-Newport Race, and aside from the 11 retirees that were unable to complete the course off Castle Hill Light, the corrected time results reflect close racing in most classes. The overall winners in the dominant classes were Chris Schoen’s XP44 Phantom (ORC), Rick Hanson’s J/120 No Surrender (PHRF Racing), and John Gowell’s Taylor 41 Temptress (ORR).
