Attention One Design Classes and Sailors

If you feel like US Sailing hasn’t heard what you’ve been trying to tell them, they are listening now and want to hear the good, not so good, and everything in between as they launch a survey for respondents. Here’s their pitch:

At US Sailing, we take our responsibility for helping to grow and support sailing in the US seriously. Though it may seem that we are not hearing what sailors out on the water, in launching areas, and in post sailing social settings are trying to tell us, we are certainly listening now.

We want to better communicate with and serve our One Design sailors across the country. We want to do a better job of interacting with the One Design class associations and find out how we can best support each other.

We are looking to work together on action items that are priorities for the organizations and sailors in order to move the needle in a positive direction to increase participation and enjoyment in this aspect of our sport.

We welcome all comments and suggestions, good and not so good, so that we can get the job done. We invite One Design sailors and organizations to take the survey, give us their suggestions and priorities, and also invite them to be part of the effort.
