USA plan for Youth Match Racing Worlds

The selection process has been confirmed for USA sailors to compete in the 2020 Youth Match Racing World Championship to be held February 25-March 1 in Auckland, New Zealand.

The skipper representing the U.S. will chosen be by resume with applications to be submitted by Midnight, CT on November 15, 2019.

In order to be considered for selection, skippers must meet these eligibility criteria:

• They must be current members of US Sailing.
• They must be a US citizen or eligible permanent resident with written authorization from World Sailing for an exemption under World Sailing Regulation 24.5.4.
• They must meet the eligibility requirements of World Sailing regulation 19, Eligibility Code.
• They must not have turned 23 years of age as of December 31, 2020.

Teams will be racing in the Elliot 7. The Notice of Race, selection system, and application form are posted on the US Sailing Match Racing website.
