St Barths Bucket is cancelled

Published on March 14th, 2020

(March 14, 2020) – The St Barths Bucket Regatta, an invitational regatta open to cruising yachts whose length is 30.5 meters or greater, has been cancelled. Eighteen teams had been entered for the event planned for March 19-22.

In addition to the overriding concerns related to the accelerating global pandemic, circumstances have simply made it logistically impossible for the Bucket organization to provide a safe, competitive, and responsible racing and social environment on St Barths.

Regional French government mandates, sailing federation guidance, and international travel bans on key regatta safety personnel were only a few of the many factors that forced this decision.
