STIR 2020 is postponed

Published on March 15th, 2020

St. Thomas, USVI (March 15, 2020) – Organizers of the St. Thomas International Regatta (STIR) have postponed the 2020 event, originally scheduled for March 27-29. This decision was made in line with health and safety recommendations taken by the Government of the U.S. Virgin Islands in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are truly sorry to have to postpone one of the Caribbean’s premier events,” says regatta director, Bill Canfield. “We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our stalwart sponsors, including the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism, for their wonderful support. Most sincerely, we look forward to welcoming our local, regional, national and international sailors at a future date and showing everyone why ‘we love it here, you will too’.”
