2020 San Diego NOOD cancelled
Published on September 11th, 2020
Organizers of the Helly Hansen National Offshore One-Design Regatta series in conjunction with San Diego Yacht Club and Coronado Yacht Club have canceled the 2020 edition of the San Diego NOOD.
Originally scheduled for March 20-22, and then postponed twice to September 4-6 and September 25-27 in hopes of eased COVID-19 regulations regarding recreational boating, but the restrictions have not yet eased so the event has been cancelled.
The NOOD has been a part of the San Diego sailing calendar since 1998, but the focus now turns to 2021 when Sailing World and the NOOD Regatta management team return to San Diego on March 19-21 to continue the long-running tradition that is San Diego NOOD.

Operating since 1988, Sailing World’s National Offshore One Design Regattas, known as the “NOODs,” are the longest-running and most popular sailboat racing series in North America. Every NOOD regatta attracts regional, national, and international talent to compete against the local community on their home waters.
The 32nd edition of the National Offshore One Design (NOOD) Regatta Series returns to the same five venues across the USA in 2020 before it sets offshore again for the Caribbean NOOD Championship in the British Virgin Islands.
