Lia Ditton breaks solo rowing record

Accomplished offshore sailor Lia Ditton (GBR) broke a women’s solo rowing world record time when she arrived at the Waikiki Yacht Club at 6:10 am on September 12, completing the 2100 nm distance from San Francisco to Honolulu in 86 days, 10 hours, five minutes and 56 seconds to break Roz Savage’s 2008 record of 100 days. She began her solo effort on June 17 in a 21-foot rowboat, and next will pursue a 5500 nm solo rowing excursion from Japan to San Francisco in Spring 2021. Details.
