2020 Yacht Racing Forum cancelled

The annual Yacht Racing Forum for the business of sailing and yacht racing has been cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19. The event was planned for November 23-24 in Portsmouth, UK.

The cancellation occurs after a July 2020 update conveyed confidence the event could be run safely. At that time organizers reported to have confirmed over one hundred participants, fifty speakers, and key global companies involved in the yacht racing industry.

“Unfortunately, recent developments and government regulations, travel difficulties and quarantine measures have forced us to take this difficult decision,” says Bernard Schopfer of MaxComm Communication.

A virtual Yacht Racing Forum will be held on November 24.
