Navy leads College Coed Nationals

Annapolis, MD (June 7, 2021) – The first day of the 2021 College Coed National Championship saw sunny skies, temperatures in the mid 80s, and a SSE breeze ranging from 8-12 knots. Through 12 races, host US Naval Academy leads the 18-boat fleet, aided by the team of Joseph Hermus ’22 and Kimmie Leonard ’22 which are winning A Division. With 6 races per division remaining, the Midshipmen hold a 29 point edge on defending champions College of Charleston with Stanford 27 points further back in third.

The 2021 Women’s Nationals, won by the College of Charleston, was held May 19-20, while the US Naval Academy won the 2021 Team Race Nationals on June 2-3.
