2023 Thompson Cup

The third event of the four-stage 2023 Grand Slam Series match race circuit attracted ten teams for the Thompson Cup on August 30-September 2 in Oyster Bay, NY. Sailed in Match 40s, Chris Poole defended his 2022 title in convincing fashion, topping the fleet in the qualifying round robin stage and then winning six of seven races in the knockout rounds to secure the victory. Poole was joined by Bradley Mclaughlin, Ryan Wilmot, Mal Parker, and Joachim Ashenbrenner. – Details
