2023 Shields Trophy

Cal Maritime Academy captured the opening offshore regatta of the 2023-24 College season by winning the Shields Trophy, held September 30-October 1 in Annapolis, MD. Hosted by the US Naval Academy in their Navy 44s, Cal Maritime won the first three races, securing the title over nine other schools prior to the final seventh race. University of Rhode Island and Navy were tied, five points, with the Rams finishing second on countback. – Details
