I would rather support Oakcliff Sailing

When joining associations, I rarely use the member benefits. I either forget about them, or they just aren’t much of a benefit for me. So, when I received an email regarding an “exciting new member benefit” from the official Aviation Club Partner of US Sailing, I ignored it until my inbox started getting pinged with comments about it.
When I looked at this ‘deal’ from AeroVanti Yacht Club, the LEARN MORE link delivered a ‘The connection for this site is not secure’ response, but my understanding is that an exceedingly expensive offer for a sailing experience was available. However, a search for AeroVanti Yacht Club also revealed no shortage of legal trouble.
I don’t know what kind of misunderstanding has occurred for US Sailing, but for a lot less money, the fully prepared fleet of boats from Oakcliff Sailing is available for charter or sponsorship and some are for sale.
You can bring your own crew and race a Farr 40 with two expert coaches. You can see the Gulf Stream from the deck of a McConaghy-Built Ker 50 carbon fiber racing machine. You can choose to sail to Bermuda, compete in the ORC World Championships, or head to the Caribbean on the Maxi OC86.
On even more of a plus side, no membership fee is required and using Oakcliff Sailing’s services supports the good works of America’s premiere training and coaching center at a fraction of the costs of for-profit member-organizations such as AeroVanti Yacht Club.
