As ornaments go, this one silenced the holiday gift swap: It was a replica of Scuttlebutt, Slidell’s iconic, pink strip club, complete with flames coming from the roof.

Matt Litchliter had been to countless Christmas ornament exchanges. But this time, he knew he had an ace up his sleeve.

The vacant gentlemen’s club had long been the bane of family-values-focused St. Tammany politicians and business leaders, and to Litchliter, made for a perfect locals-only inside joke.

“I had it in my head to make something funny, maybe even something like ‘Oh, I don’t know if can even put that on my tree,'” Litchliter said with a laugh. “I think this does it.” – Full report
