US Sailing has organized a 2024 schedule of seminars across the USA to improve the level of understanding and skill for measurement rating rules.

Measurement Seminar
The goal of this event is to gather current and prospective measurers from throughout North America for in-depth training that leads to recognition as a US Sailing Measurer. This training will cover measurement principles aligned with ORC, ORR, and IRC rules, ensuring participants gain expertise across all rating systems. It will be held at San Diego Yacht Club on February 16-19 in San Diego, CA. – Details

Offshore Road Show
Five events are planned in February that will include an informative Q&A session and continue with short presentations on any of the following topics: Services and Roles of the Offshore Office, Steps to obtain a Measurement Rule Handicap (ORC or ORR), Offshore Boat Measurement 101, Understanding the VPP (Velocity Prediction Programs), How to read a rating certificate, Scoring Methods, and much more. – Details
