Speaking the language of luxury

No sooner did Italian offshore sailor Giovanni Soldini report that his collaboration with Maserati had come to an end, it becomes known he is trading the Trident for the Prancing Horse of Ferrari. Evidentially, Soldini speaks the language of luxury sports car brands.

Born in Milan on May 16, 1966, Soldini’s CV includes winning the 1999 Around Alone and finishing second overall in the 1995 BOC Challenge, six Québec-Saint Malos (one victory in the monohull category), six OSTARs (two victories in the 50’ and 40’ classes), and three Transat Jacques Vabres (one victory in the 40’ class).

After racing and record-seeking on a VO70 and MOD70 for Maserati since 2012, Soldini will be creating a new boat with Ferrari… here is the media release:

The Prancing Horse is preparing to compete in the world of sailing under the guidance of Team Principal and acclaimed navigator, Giovanni Soldini.
