Super Mac Race returns for celebration

In 2024, midwest offshore racers prepare for the annually held Chicago Mackinac Race (114th edition, 289 nm) and the Bayview Mackinac Race (100th edition, 204 or 259 nm), but the less annually held Super Mac Race is also on the docket this year. The race to the start lines in 2024 has a course of 495 nm from Chicago to Port Huron.

To celebrate the 100th running of the Bayview Mackinac Race, the format is for competitors in the Chicago Mackinac Race to pass through the finish line at Mackinac Island to get scored, but then continue to Port Huron to complete the Super Mac Race.

The Super Mac Race will also return in 2025 – starting in Port Huron and finishing in Chicago – to celebrate 150 years of the Chicago Yacht Club.
