Across the pond, it’s been a good week for Giles Scott. After taking over the F50 reins from boss Sir Ben Ainslie, the double Olympic gold medallist has taken his first SailGP victory at the helm of Emirates GBR. Something to do with the British weather in Halifax, Nova Scotia?

SailGP next moves across to the notoriously fickle venue of New York, which also saw the IMOCA fleet set out on the return trip across the Atlantic in the New York Vendée Race. Team Malizia skipper Boris Herrmann surprised many by opting for a very northern route.
