Cole Brauer honored for her impact

Published on January 18th, 2025

At boot Düsseldorf, the world’s largest yachting and water sports fair held annually, the Seamaster Award is annually presented to a personality who has made a special impact in water sports. For the 2025 show, American sailor Cole Brauer was honored.

She is the first American woman to have completed a solo, non-stop round-the-world regatta. Although the inaugural Global Solo Challenge and Brauer were still unknown at the start of the 2023-24 race, the 30-year-old quickly managed to build up a fan base of around 500,000 followers on Instagram and get them excited about the race.

The Seamaster Award was presented for the eleventh time, with Brauer as the third female winner following recipients Clarisse Cremer (2017) and Kirsten Neuschäfer (2024). Other notable winners include Loïck Peyron, Jimmy Spithill, and François Gabart.
