Struble wins DN World Championship

Published on February 4th, 2025

The 2025 DN World Championship was held February 2-4 with 105 competitors on Lake Winnebago at Fond du Lac, WI. Dominating the field was Matt Struble (USA), winning five of seven races to claim his fifth world title. The Polish contingent had five sailors in the top ten, with four in the top five.

Struble grew up in Bay City, Michigan, where Jan and Mead Gougeon, legends in the DN class, mentored him. Now living in San Diego, California, he balances his career as a Nissan engineer, Moth sailing, competitive ice sailing, and time with his family. A gracious and humble competitor, Mawww.idniyra.org/2025-world-championshiptt once again proved why he is one of the best in the sport.
