Published on November 28th, 2025

Austria lost one of its sailing pioneers when Hubert Raudaschl, 83, died on November 26, 2025 at his home in the Salzburg region. He was a successful athlete, boat builder, sailmaker and mentor, and shaped the domestic and international sailing scene until the end.

He won silver medals at Mexico City 1968 (Finn) and Moscow 1980 (Star). – Full report
